I rode at lunch today - there is still snow on the sides of the roads in some places but the bike lanes are by and large acceptable.

I rode my MTB today, and I didn't want to post about it in the road forum...oh,wait.

In other news, I'm still waiting for my TT bike to show up, and pics will be posted asap.

I just haven't been around my computer as much, 10 days off is good for that.
Road stuff:
Got my new alloy frame (1,240g in a 58cm!) back from the powdercoaters just before the break, and finished it up this weekend, with the exception of bartape, which I'll do tonight. 16.0lbs with alloy bar/stem, sans pedals. Not bad. Pics to come.

Thinking about maybe picking up a set of Zipp 101 wheels for some clinchers for the F1 Team bike, anybody have any experience with these yet?

I kind of slacked on riding this holiday, mostly spent time with my lady, which was totally worth it.

Been colder than a witches tit. Wore every piece of clothing I own and managed to stay warm on a MTB ride, I couldn't imagine what it would be like on the road.

30 on Sunday. If there is no snow I will dress up like a Michelin man and do some laps. Not getting any exercise is driving my nuts.

Niiiice! Love those wheels! I have some of the older Orion IIs (now EA90SL), they're totally bombproof.
What bar/stem? ISP frame?

You guys are all making me jealous :( I need to get some new parts for my Trek.

I would be out riding in the snow, but I really don't trust the drivers around here. With the ice/snow/slush on the roads, and the fact that *no* drivers are going to be keeping an eye out for bikers or pedestrians, I usually stay off my bike for the season.

White Matte sounds f'ing rad, wow. Should be a gorgeous bike, get pics up ASAP!

About to cancel my preseason on them. I think 4 months for delivery on stock items is a bit unacceptable.
Yeah, that's pretty bad, wow. Do they have them in stock now? When was the promised ship window?

Bike is here. It'll get its own thread when it's built up. Teaser for now:

I have a Rival crankset that's going on there in place of the FSA. Wheels are TBD

hmm put a hold on that white non ISP frame... i might have something else even sweeter lined up.
Dennis sounds like a killer bike but why not a complete. Giant has some sweet builds this year. I think you should get the Di2 version of course :)

And why Easton I thought you would have Sun rims sponsorship this year?

Are you doing DH specific training?

whats the Di2 version?

i dont get free road bike thru giant and i dont have the money for a complete build so im building up this bike on my own.

easton wheels were spot on with what i want to do with the bike so i got them, super light clincher for the hilly climbs around the house. Sun ringle is just my MTB sponsor so this wont be going against them, their DH wheels are dope no doubt.

yea i like to do intervals on the trainer in the winter time you can hit your target heart rate much easier this way. once it warms up it will get taken out on the road. such a shame it has to wait months before i can take her out and open her up on the road.
