I've had a least a dozen helmets over the years, all different prices and makes - not one stood out over the rest. I like to try them on so I've never bought one on line. I say buy what fits and replace it in five years or when you cant stand the stink... whichever comes first.
I don't suffer from stinky head so that is not a problem. Never liked the adjustment on the Giro but it looks like the adjustments are getting better to work with on new helmets. So far I am just leaning towards going all out and getting the top of the line Giro Ionos.
