So that was you making that sound.
Yup...1090 cassette + sram chain = supa loud. 7800 chain helps. 7800 cassette heals it all up.
dont get me wrong, i like the shifting. i guess its the hollow(spl?) cassette that amplify's the sound so bad. the 808 sounds like some sort of demon ( wom wom wom wom wom )when it gets wound up. and as far as shimano chains, no thank you. i broke two in the last month and not the masterlink, snapped a pin and popped em both
Just let it get a little bit of grime on there and things will quiet down.

Might be able to throw some grease onto the inside the Powerdome...doesn't help a ton, but kill some of the noise. Regardless, any thing with an 808's going to be loud. Especially on a carbon frame.

Transition + Campy + Sub9 = a lot of noise and hell to set up by sound
I also love how easy a Transition is to put on a stand with the rear brake on.

Yup - came close to doing R2C on a bike, but can't wait on the shifters.
TT900 it is. Was looking forward to the new Sram. Transition #3 for me in the last 3 months. All frames built with Shimano, Campy and now Sram.
Having top end wind tunnel stats does nothing for the Dallas folk, eh???

I didn't break the quick links on either chain though Golgi . I snapped a pin in the regular link...twice

Saw a totally pimped out Felt today on my way to the subway parked on the street. Not the typical hipster look more stealth all black roadie look. Should have snapped a quick picture just to make you happy. Why anybody would dare to leave it on the street I do not understand.
