just a Q
I've got my new hubs. pro4. .
the rear hub (boost) come with a spacer for the free hub.
what is it for? do I need to use it?
maybe it for using it with a regular crank? to move the cassette out by 3mm?

You use it for 10 speed and Shimano 11 speed clusters. It goes in between the cluster and the base of the free hub.

so if I use SRAM cassette I dont need it?
I didnt know there is a different between SRAM and SHIMANO cassettes in size....

I have a Hadley hub with that same spacer. It said remove for 11 speed. When I changed to 11 speed I tried removing it and the cassette rattled around, so I put the spacer back on and it works good now. I think I read it's removed for road cassettes but honestly I don't really know. Maybe I'll get to remove it in a few years for 12 speed:
