No, I don't think you can rent a downhill bike anywhere in Sweden, exept from Åre up in the north of sweden, about 1000 kilometers away from gothenburg.

There isn't so much downhill here in gothenburg so a hardtail is good enough I think. You can get a used hardtail for a pretty good price in a store named Re Sport here.

There is a street rider from Germany here and he is riding a kona hardtail and think it's good enough, for the moment he rides a lot of dirt and enjoy it much. He is a student from Germany, studying at Chalmers university here in GBG.

When do you get here?

i will be there in july-august
somewhere inbetween there

as far as the DH bike renting goes, i dont really care. all i would like is to have a good hardtail, for about a week in Gothenburg.

i will be staying in a cottage in Buterud, about 30 minutes out of Gothenburg.

If there is somthing, just ask...

We do have dirt jumps. Not quite up to the class of Cowan's playground, but the kids are working on it. Here in Stockholm we can arrange MTB rentals. Bullit, Heckler or even this:

Talk to Phil (from Scotland), Dave (from England) or John (from Ireland) at Dr. Spoke. http://www.drspoke.se +46 (0)8 227 805 to arrange it.
