I'm looking forward to it....I do wish Contador and Levi were on a different team, because it would be one hell of a battle. The amount of media attention this garner over the next year will be amazing. It wouldn't surprise me if a major network tries to purchase the rights to the Tour. With all of the bad press cycling has received since he left, this will give racing a much needed boost and some positive press time.
I'm actually hoping he signs with Garmin. It'd suck to see, literally, all the favorites on 1 team. Lance, Kloden, Levi, and contador. That team is unstoppable, but who supports who? Besides, with a team like that... if he does win, everyone will be saying... "ahh he just won because of his team". Maddog will probably be the first to chime in ;)

The day Lance rides something other than a Trek will be the day I...well, I guess I don't know what, but I'll be beside myself surprised.

of course i will, because his team would have helped him win. but with the lineup that Astana would have, that would be a nightmare for other teams to mark someone. that could potentially be a 1-2-3 podium finish for Astana. would that be the first time in tour history that that would have happened?

Didn't he sign some sort of lifetime deal with Trek?
He would stand to lose an endorsement deal....he is still doing ads and commercials on TV for them. I suspect he makes some nice coin from that. It would be like Lance coming back and wearing Bolle glasses
