People actually do that around here in the winter, both on bikes and skis. Usually on flat wide XC ski-ish trails. Not super common, but it happens.

I ride sort of like that with my GSD. He seriously doesn't even get tired on regular walks. There's no way I'd attach him to the bike though, but for the first 10-15 minutes he's usually pulling pretty good. After the initial burst of energy, he trots with me.
