i saw this question on "the other forum" and i am wondering the samething. since nobody really answered it over there, hopefully you guys can help me out. has anybody used/tried the metallic housing from either ird or nokon? the stuff looks pretty decent from appearance, but i've never seen it. thanks.

Are you talking about the Nokon TracPearls?

I've seen em - they look kinda heavy though. Guaranteed to be bombproof and can really turn some funky angles. Certainly pricy.
