This shit makes my heart hurt. I truly do enjoy being an American, however we are slipping further into the void of authoritarianism. Furthermore with the copious amounts of good ol gerrymandering that is going on with the recent census, it will be harder to fix the problem.
In the agriculture world, myself and my family are outliers by not being hardcore Trump folks. In our state, straight ticket voting allows folks to just check the “R” box and move on. Most have no idea who or what they are voting for. My folks have both ran numerous time in local and state political races, but due to running as Democrats did not stand a chance.
Straight ticket voting is allowing for crazier and crazier folks to get into office. I hate to say itbut that shit bag Jim Banks is from my hometown.
