It's like a poached egg. Yummy over toast...yolk-soaked buttered toast is my favorite...

I think BAH and Mrs. BAH are wandering around the neighborhood grazing in their neighbor's yards.

I just read this whole thread instead of working on my first day back from break. It inspired me to drink a large glass of water and draw a chart of the thread showing a false peak ("local maximum" for Toshi) at hacksaw-mouthed whore-babies and a true peak at butt pee.

I'm not considering going raw but I am considering switching from the PAWN forum to the food forum. This is entertaining ****.

Problem #1 with this diet: if I had a powerful blender, I would be far too tempted to start ramming my valuables (ahem) into it.

Nice thought on the diet.. I'd just find it impossible to stick to..although I can say the same about my traditional low card high protein I do every other month or so.

well I've been almost completely raw for 2 weeks. Feel great and have lost 8 lbs  I probably couldn't do it by myself, but with Sara cooking up some great raw foods, it's pretty easy to eat.

She'll have the recipe up on her blog shortly. From what I remember her saying

    Organic yellow corn
    olive oil
    water
    salt
    ground flax
    chili pepper flakes
    garlic

all mashed up into paste then dehydrated

    "sour cream" is

    raw cashews
    lemon juice
    water
    salt

    "meat" is

    walnuts
    cumin
    coriander

    ground in food processer

It really does taste delicious. When I try stuff she makes, I never ask what's in it until afterward, because often I don't like the ingredients but often they are for texture(and nutrition) instead of taste

I keep hearing more and more about the benefits of going raw and would love to try it but I'm looking for simplicity. How difficult is it to get all the nutrients and vitamins you need each day? I'm looking for "super easy" here. No complicated recipies. Just bag what I need to eat everyday and get it done. Later on, I can get into preparing meals but to start I just want to know what I need t eat with no preparation. HELP!

All raw sounds so weird but I'm sure it works as long as you don't eat bad raw food haha. Personally I think the best diet is the most blatantly obvious one. NOOOO Processed or unnatural foods, all organic and 6 meals a day. Fresh Fruits and Veggies( I never cook em), Chickens, Seafood(no sauce's ie lipids), turkey and nuts.

I had ACL surgery this summer, tore it in a DH race. Leading up to my surgery I got up to around 195lbs @ 6ft. With eating like this and within a month I was down to 174lbs. And no it was not from muscle loss b/c I have all my muscle density back and am around 170lbs. Which is my ideal lean body mass for my height.

i wonder if derek is still doing the raw thing. he's shooting my wedding on april 11 -- does this mean that he won't poach any of the food since it'll be cooked (except for the sashimi)?

I am sitting on a comittee with a raw foods chef and she provided lunch for us today and it was amazing. I wish that I could commit the time to it, I would give it a go.

I think it's kind of ironic that we have a thread about eating only raw food on the same page as my thread about cooking food for 48-72+ hours...

Yeah, I heard about this the other day.

    Tomatos for example...
Or Carrots do not really give you the full Betacaratine until you cook them etc.
And as far as "getting all the enzymes" from raw food, well none of them will survive your stomach acid anyway, so it is a total waste.

Its true that many extreme diets have little factual basis - all in moderation. I would also agree Americans eat too many animal products (and other crap) but millions of years of evolution can't be wrong, so eating as the omnivores we are is not bad for your health just as you need some fat and cholesterol in your diet.

Your statement about all enzyme being useless because of stomach acid is just as silly though since food starts breaking down even in your mouth - first google result:
