i tried it, under "expert" supervision for 3 days. my nutritionist recommended some, and said "they will be ok, and wont have any contraindication to your medication", just like they said after they recommended whey protein.
i thought it was nothing extraordinary (just like whey protein) and didnt bother to research the internet since it was an "expert" advice.
huge mistake, should have asked my dr. first.
short circuited my brain. awful 30 minutes of sudden sharp depression about 2 hours after i took some twice.. significant nosebleed on the 3rd day.
am not getting anywhere that stuff again.
but again, i do take some hard prescription drugs too.
not worth the risk, after all, the main point of working out is health, so it kinda self defeating to take those risks.
As I understand it, NO (nitric oxide) will help increase blood flow to the muscles and make you feel an extra pump at the gym, but it won't really help you build muscle.
I've used creatine on and off in the 10 years I've been lifting and definitely notice a difference when I'm using it. I can lift more and lift longer.

Two fun biological facts for the day:
1) NO is an unconventional neurotransmitter.
2) It is responsible for allowing the male erection to occur. Viagra works through the NO pathway.
I'd think real hard before messing around with something like that.
also note that NO (in the form of nitroglycerin) is taken by people who have angina (chest pain) for symptom relief. translation: it will screw with all your blood vessels, from the head through the heart to the ol' wang. i would NOT mess with it myself for any non-medical indication.
