I just bought some kool stop brake pads for my Trek 4300, and i when i went to put them on, i noticed they have a different way of being put on that the stockers. Is there anyway of getting the kool stops on a 4300 with stock brakes?

You're description is kind of vague. Did you just get cartridges??? I don't know what you mean.

I've no idea what you are describing. Pics??? They should work if they are V pads.

It's clear that you got the wrong pads. Kool-Stop makes the "Eagle Claws" and the "Eagle 2" pads. While both of these are available with a threaded or non-threaded post, NEITHER one is correct for your brakes. They are for low-end "pivot" brakes and center-pull cantilevers respectively. Next time buy pads marked "V-brake" or "Linear-pull." Kool-Stop's ones are called the "Thinlines." They are good.
