From Velonews.com:
Interesting, Lance said that he thinks that Ulle is finally gonna get his next win this year.
"I predict that he'll win it by four to five minutes," Armstrong was quoted as saying in Thursday'sBild newspaper.
Cool, I'd love to see Jan get back up there on the top step again this time around. As long as Beloki is up there too...:)
Should be a pretty good race this time around.

Beloki? I think he will have a crying fit.

Ullrich is no talent clown? Give you a hint, guess who the only person in this year's TdF actually won a TdF before...

ohh i'm drawing a blank...
who's the only no talent ass clown former winner that also gains 18kilo's in the off season and takes drugs?

i am of course saying all of this in a manor of jest and good humor but my sentiment is exact. Basso is da man

Well, I think Ullrich had a little too much success early on, then met the Michael Jordan of cycling.

Basso doesn't seem to have the killer instinct. However, Jan is training like a madman right now.

But then loses enough to come in 2nd. If he's on it this year, I see him doing good things.
And at least it's just recreational drugs, not like he had a needle full of EPO hanging out of his arm on the last stage of some race. Look at any pro athelete in the US, football, basketball, baseball; pot, coke, etc.
I for one like Jan a lot. He's human, he makes mistakes, he eats too much. I hope he wins. But I also hope Beloki does too, he played second fiddle to Lance for too many years.
Any way you slice it, it will be an interesting race to watch this year...

Okokok in all seriousness. Jan still is #2 contender for me behind basso but as mentioned he’s not a jerk. If he can learn to be more of a jerk he’ll be on top (again haha jerk=killer instinct)
Beloki. Sorry joseba youR time has come and gone with that awful accident in 2003. He HAD lance’s number that year. He was the top contender in my book. I’ve watched 2003 over and over and with limited coverage I have boliki/Armstrong was the race.
Jan is a rec drug taker I still don’t agree with that but of course at least it wasNT a performance enhancer.
Hopefully Vino will make a show this year. He’s #1 on his team, I forget who he’s racing for.
If the Disco is racing for a single GC leader you HAVE to give them a slot also but there are a few more to recognize.
This year as stated by many should be a great race because it isn’t already won.
ONLY 6 MORE MONTHS TO GO!!!!!

Just wait till Tom Danielson gets a bit older and a bit more experienced. If there will be another American Dynasty in the near future, it will without a doubt be his.

Nope. Never.

Danielson was 28 last year. He will NEVER win any grand tour.

He won't even make the podium in any grand tour. Bet on it.

Now if Zabriske can learn to climb, we may have something.

Vino is on the same team as Beloki, Liberty Seguros, the old ONCE team from days past. I agree, I think Beloki's best years are behind him, unfortunately, I think he will improve, but I don't think he'll be a contender for the podium. I'm really excited to see what Vino does this year, now that he's not riding for someone else.
I worked for Beloki's sponsor that year, and it KILLED us in the office when that happened, we were all pulling for him, plus he's a pretty nice little guy. I got to meet the ONCE team when they came into the office some years back. All tiny little Spaniards.

I think Lance always picks Jan then laughs his ass off about it when no one is looking.
That would be awesome! He's sitting at home, feet up on the couch, beer in hand, laughing as Jan cracks on some steep-ass climb that he's trying to ride in his 53t ring...

Basso is my favorite to win, Jan is always the threat-just wish he would take it a little more seriously, Vino is insane and could crack the whole thing open with his ferocity and Danielson can definetly whoop some ass...and don't forget Cunego, Horner, Landis and Rasmussen. This year is going to be good!
