at school dreaming about trails
is it a problem if i was to put a longer stroke shock on my jamis dakar xlt. it has plenty of room for more travel and the stroke shock would only be about 2cm longer or so but im worried about the dakar's "weak" swingarm. comments? advice?

A shock that's longer by 2cm is a lot.

It's going to steepen your head angle, steepen your seat tube angle, and raise your bottom bracket. Raising your bottom bracket by 2cm is no small amount.

I wouldn't recommend putting shocks on that the bike isn't designed for. Added travel just encourages you to use the bike more and more outside the realm of intended usage. If you want a longer travel bike, just buy a longer travel bike... Just MHO.
