although I don't know how new six deluxe and sx-r compare, but it should be very close as they have the same adjustments and damper.

They are the same (2001 SX-R = 2002 Six deluxe). You can find some for 109$ or 119$ by mail order. 159$ is a good price for such a quality fork...but for some reasons, they are super cheap on the internet.
