Yep, we've got a beta version on the test site that we're working on. There are a couple other priorities that are going at the same time so it hasn't had all the focus, but it's not being ignored.

    Hey Jon,
I recently got the ICS update to my phone, and I am now running the Chrome Beta browser. RM looks and works a helluva alot better than it did before. Then again, I think i remember you being an android dork so you have probaly already tried it. ;)

Ill try it out on the touchpad. I have cm9 on it. New phone next month, and maybe the nexus tablet later this year. Googles big jelly bean announcement should be this week.

Ive been running dolphin and it handles the site better than the stock browser

Diggin the page number slider within the thread. Been pushing buttons. Everything seems pretty solid and straightforward.

Only thing I've noticed that is weird so far is when I click on the thread it takes me to the very first post and not to the last.

    Otherwise :thumb:

Only thing I havent found is a "new posts" button? I usually leave my browser open and come back later so I allways use the "new posts" button...

Other then that looking slick on my 4s!

    Noted.

Probably not going to do any updates to it for a couple weeks while I collect feedback and continue to test, but I'm making a list of changes.

If you tap the main section of a thread link, it will take you to the thread. If you tap the far right green arrow, it'll take you to the last new post.

Yeah, vBulletin disabled the integrated rep form(s) from the mobile skin, so we have to build our own.

    Future functionality.

I think I already know the answer, but I can't get to the "last post" function from my blackberry... I can only open the first page, and I can't even go to the next page of a thread....

Awesome! And in time for when i return to the boat work next week!

The page is too wide for the iPhone 4S in portrait mode: You have to scroll left and right. Fine in landscape, but I would prefer to use portrait.

Also as has been mentioned, the 'New Posts' button is what I use all the time.

I'm guessing messages etc will come in time.

Looking great though BV, good to see it here finally.

here's my vote for Tapatalk. much better for reading forums than any of the web browsers on my iPhone 5S.

here's a reiteration of my vote for Tapatalk. I'm sure you guys know your metrics, and I'm sure computers are still the majority of site users, but I can anecdotally say that I read this site a lot less than various moto sites I follow due to lack of Tapatalk capability.

RM just isn't that awesome to use on a phone or iPad, which has basically replaced my computer for "lying on the couch, getting my forum on".

There are a fair number of reasons why Tapatalk is not a great solution from a technical and administrative standpoint. It's not impossible that we'll implement it, but I'm actually running test imports/exports to our new forum software now (like, right this very minute), so anything relating to vBulletin is on hold.

Once we get the new site up, I'll re-visit the Tapatalk question.

Anybody who has a proper size phone for adults does not need Tapatalk for this forum. It looks great as is on a Nexus 5.

Right now I'm working on a responsive layout that will hopefully mitigate the need to have an entirely separate skin for mobile. So far I think it's pretty sweet.

Hoping to give you guys a preview to nitpick in not too long.

BV - i've got a request. this may be made moot by the upcoming change...

on the current navigation on the mobile site, there's the drop down at the top that lets you navigate around, but right now it only takes you to the main forum list. would it be possible to expand that so we can jump directly from forum to forum without having the intermediate step? ie, being able to go directly from the lounge to the dh forum. (without a pit-stop at the main forum list). this may be easier to implement with the sub-forum consolidation.

Already got it taken care of in the new forum software. There's a icon that displays an overlay containing a whole forum list.

    How's that for service?
