My name is Nikos and I'm writing these lines from the always sunny Athens (the one in Greece not the one on Georgia
).
This August I became a happy owner of a 2013 KONA Unit! I will not go into much details right now, unless asked of course, but this purchase took place after a long long long period of questions such as "what should I buy now since my Dr. Dew got stolen"?
At the end, I decided to go all 29 and on the same time "suspensionless"! The main reason for that was that I was planning on using the Unit on the road, on trails and some times on skate parks(?)!
Because the Unit is my only bike I also did not want a singlespeed and as a result I decided, with the guidelines of my local shop, to invest in the Shimano Alfine!
Now, approx. 1 month after the purchase, I can say that the Alfine/Unit is a win-win combo!
