    My dad picked up a 6D and already has this lens, so he offered to buy the kit and just let me pay the difference. Too good to pass up.

    $500 is a great deal for that.


    i used a Canon Pro Services loaner of the new 24-70 f/2.8 II and yeah, it's nice and all but not worth twice what i paid for version 1 a few years ago.
