Not really, since this is entirely computer-speak and even in the US the date gets written with the Day first, US Military and Pay Grade Govt. It's a non-issue unless it's in the 29'r Forum on mtbr.com.

Uhhhh, pretty sure in the US, by far the most common format is MM/DD/YYYY. My company is owned by a German company, and it took a while to get used to using the DD/MM/YYYY format on all documentation.
