I was out on about a 50 mile ride yesterday and I noticed my fingers getting numb several times.....I wasn't riding down on the drop bars, just atop the bars right where they curve to go toward the shifter/brake lever. Am I maybe causing a lot of pressure on a vein or something in my hand that would possibly cut off blood flow to my fingers to cause this numb feeling to occur? Has anyone experienced this or heard of such?

Make sure to change your hand positions. Ride on the drops, the tops and the hoods. I use to get numb hands when I rode the mountain bike on the road a lot. Got a set of bar ends to change up my hand position and that fixed it.
Numbness in the hands or wrists can be caused by many things such as saddle hight, bar height, too much bar wrap, gloves that fir too tightly... and so on.
Yup. Also, if you're not already using them, padded gloves can help as well.
