move along, nothing to see here

in other news, obama doesn't like white people
Yeah his white mom is really giving him problems on his credibility.

There's only nothing to see if your reasoning is 'he really doesn't SEEM like the kind of guy to say those things, he's a nice old man.......probably likes cookies and milk over his nightly constitution studies.'

Every politician EVER has several major f ups throughout their career...it all comes down to who will truly get this country out of the mess it is in while in office. Which is none of them.

You didn't read Obama's book did you? Obama doesn't like white people as much if not more than Ron Paul doesn't like black people.

Regardless of what you think of his personal views, Ron Paul at least sticks up for black people. Obama doesn't do that.

Obama hates white AND black people? You know what that means:

Obama discusses choosing sides between whites and blacks (he also stereotypes pacific islanders too Sanjuro) in his book. He's not a perfect person and neither is Ron Paul, but Ron Paul at least is interested in enacting policies that would benefit black people.

No he specifically opposes policies that benefit the black population of this country.

Neither one of you get that because you don't really understand the topic. But that requires looking at statistics, which again........neither you nor paul really understand or care about. That's what's so funny about watching his whole support structure. It's full of folks who are just as oblivious and overly simplistic as he is. It makes total sense but it's still annoying.

ron paul is more libertarian than republican. that said his strict constitutional views are comparable to those wackjobs who read and interpret literally the bible/koran/torah/and other "holy" writings.

i'd like to think the youth (college folks) would exercise more critical thinking skills, which is why i am alittle perplexed at his appeal to that demographic.

Sheeeeeiiiiittttttt

If they were so good at it they wouldn't be in college :D

I don't know about the whole libertarian vs. republican thing though.......I mean I will say this: RP DOES live and breathe everything the repubs claim to hold true. It's their own damn fault they made a conscious effort to appeal to this weird war mongering, fvck the rest of the world, we're merrikka approach to get themselves in office to bolster defense industries. Conservative means conservative......not hold back the government on everything BUT defense.

That said, his ideas are still idiotic as hell. Claiming to 'uphold' the constitution as your only premise sure sounds great but polio and death by syphilis were also a given when that thing was written. He conveniently overlooks all that in his pursuit of constitutional purity. Obviously, pretty in line with your scripture zealotry call........

I mean jesus........for someone to simultaneously espouse a flat tax AND claim that helps ALL demographics......you really have to be an idiot. You can come up with all kinds of nutty scenarios that are 'constitutional' but still just really friggin stupid.

Religious zealotry indeed.

The newsletter thing just shows that he's not the highly principled beacon everyone likes to think he is.

Good thing foreclosures are down and gas prices have been low the past 3 years.

I had interesting (ie, hilarious) discussions with the College Paultards on the UW campus in the fall... Nothing like attending a public, taxpayer-funded college while calling for more personal responsibility and less government spending, lol. Ron Paul has so many different views across the political spectrum that if you focus on just the ones you like (and ignore the ones you don't), he's an amazing candidate.

As for his (possible) racism, he was an old, conservative politician in the deep south (sorry X3), I'd be more surprised if there *wasn't* some crazy racist past.

http://newsone.com/nation/casey-gane-mccalla/ron-paul-was-implicated-in-attempted-white-supremacist-island-invasion/

In 1981, a lawyer tried to subpoena Ron Paul to testify in the trial of Don Black, a Grand Wizard for the Ku Klux Klan who would later go on to found the white supremacist, neo-Nazi website, Stormfront. Black was charged along with two other Klansmen with planning to violently overthrow the small Caribbean country of Dominica in what they called “Operation Red Dog.” While a judge refused to subpoena Paul, Don Black would come back to haunt him many years later.

No, he's a fundamentalist crazy Christian, just like Palin. They just differ on the small details of how to bring about the apocalypse and finally get all the sinners burning in hell.

College kids see "Legal Weed, man!" and they don't bother looking any further. Of course, it doesn't help that a lot of those college kids are also crazy fundamentalist Christians.

I'll make the effort to do this one more time.

The difference between a delusional obama supporter and a delusional paul supporter is that the paul supporters are repeating exactly what paul has actually advocated.

It's funny how hard you try though.......... It never helps your case one iota but is shore is entertainin'!!

ALL of RP's supporters see only what they want to see: College kids see "free weed", young adults see "increased civil liberties", Tea Partiers see "smaller government" and liberals see "decreased military spending and a less, uh, active foreign policy". Some of his positions align perfectly with Bernie Sanders and Dennis Kucinich, and others mimic those of Sarah Palin. The Paultards only see what they want to see, and refuse to note the positions which are diametrically opposed to what they believe in, or come up with justifications to alleviate their fears. One of the reasons I was given at the campus (where I asked about whether they supported ending federal student loans) was that they believed that the federal support for those loans was the (sole) reason for college costs skyrocketing. Remove that and *poof*, magically everything would be better.

I just can't trust that he's going to do anything he says anymore. His ideas are not that bad, if he had the leadership to actually follow through.

As I stated earlier:

"Following through" is impossible when Republicans block tax increases that raise revenue (and, wait for it, DECREASE THE DEFICIT)... "Following through" is impossible when Republicans blocked recovery measures like infrastructure spending... "Following through" is impossible when Republicans push the nation to the brink of default, lowering the US's credit rating and in effect raising borrowing costs. "Following through" is.....

Oh, never mind.

As I stated earlier:
Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't he have a majority of democrats when he started? Either way, he lacks the leadership needed to push his ideas. In 2009 he had the world in his hands, was idolized around the world, and even got a nobel peace prize (WTF???). A lot of the country doesn't care what he has to say anymore because they don't believe it will happen. He's okay, but okay is not good enough right now.

Every President has to deal with different parties.
So you blame him for a congress that absolutely refuses to do anything he wants simply because he's a democrat, and they've even said as much.

mosque on ground zero, death panels, socialism, terrorists tried in downtown manhattan, FEMA camps.............where the fvck do you think that BS came from?

So what SHOULD he be doing?

Why is the congress against him? Why was congress not against Bush or Clinton?
