Basically, here is the question...

I'm considering purchasing something from a private party, but I would like to use a credit card to do so (0.0% rate for the first year....the item would easily be paid off during that time).

Any ideas on how I could go about doing this without using PayPal?

I asked the card company about that last night....they said that they are only "periodically sent out" and can't be requested.

If the private party will accept cash or money orders, then you can purchase money orders with the credit card from most grocery stores, up to $500 per money order.
