Well...it's Friday. I've got to hustle back home right after work to get my kid to basketball practice - on Friday....at 6:30.....who does this? Who holds practice on a Friday....at 6:30?

I'm trying to sell my old 40'' FHD TV, Amplituner and Speakers on local Gumtree equivalent. Jesus every time I try to sell something I lose faith in humanity. So far I've been offered 60% what I asked for the TV/Tuner or exchange for some CDs/Laptops. The 60% is not even a start to the negotiation. It's a final offer... And yeah I checked the prices of sold items in the past for the same models.

Yeah I thought this only happens with renting flats where the people can still try to squeeze you because they know you have costs of owning a flat but ffs. I can keep my TV indefinitely and I'm sure as hell not going to sell you a 2011 40'' TV with one of the best screens Toshiba had that year for 80$ or a set of music CDs with Rod Stewart. Thank god hating people helps me be better at my job.
I was planning on keeping my 10 year old car for another 2 years mostly because I didn't want to get rid of it until it had zero value and I didn't want to deal with the hell of selling it. However I have gotten a bug for a new car and a friend is interested in mine as his fiancé is moving from Italy and is looking for a car.
High for today is 6*F and the high for tomorrow is 5*F. Wind is blowing around 20-25 mph today and possibly the same tomorrow.

He looked into it, apparently the job market blows. He could find a similar engineering job there, but the salary would be a fraction of what he makes here, would have to live with his GF's parents. Italian law makes it impossible to fire anyone so it is nearly impossible to get a full time job. Young people get hired on one year contracts with little job security past the contract.
He has a damn good job here he enjoys with great job security.

Went to see the hand specialist today and don't need surgery of any kind. Just a really bad sprain. SIUP-itis of the hand, so that's good news.
I decided to "work remotely" so am sitting in a super hipster coffee shop drinking Honduran pour-over coffee and putting off work. I did manage to take a break from that to also book myself in for PRK surgery to get my vision fixed. My glasses are pissing me off big time lately.
Between the effed up hand, the weather and a bike that could use some love, I guess the timing will be just about right. My eyes and hand should be working more or less properly by the end of February...
Wifey has also started back to her love of shift work in the pediatric ICU. She'll have her 2nd night shift back tonight. This means I'm on duty with the boys and will be drinking tequila and watching the horror flicks she won't watch on Netflix.
My buddies have discovered this brand:
It's pretty good stuff, and half the price of the Clooney tequila.
