Hey, sorry if this smells a little spammy but a friend of mine just opened a beer bar in Portland and I thought I'd spread some info. The owner Jesse is good people and among lots of other gigs he used to pull many pints at the Toronado in SF. He's also a bike nut, we used to turn wrenches together in Boston.
The place is called APEX, it's at 1216 Southeast Division Street. It's got a re-purposed bowling-alley bar, roll up garage door, and bike friendly parking and helmet racks.
Website is a work in progress but it's www.apexbar.com. There's a bar menu in there but there is much MUCH more to be added both on tap and in bottles, domestic and import.
He's open now. I'm heading up for a grand opening party on May 7, should be good times.
