I have a Woodman Singlespeed Bolt on Hub on my bike right now. I'm pretty sure its a 12 mm axle. My manager at the bike shop offered to build me up a new wheel on a new hub so i can run gears. Now my question is, will a quick release axle or a 10 mm axle work on my bike? Thanks. btw i have a .243 racing frame

I have horizontal dropouts if that matters.

if you have a .243, i think thats a standard drop out system, so the qr or 10 mm should work? or so i think.

ya. Sorry about that, i just measured, its 10 mm. Will QR work well on my frame? And do you have any recommendations for a sub 130 dollar hub? Thanks

yes it works, my friend runs a qr on his steel head, and for a short time i did on my p.1 (both of these bikes have the same drop outs as yours)
