Rambling south

Starting in New Haven, Vermont, I need to get myself to a party in Midland, Virginia the afternoon of November 4th.

I'm going to leave the prior Thursday and swing somewhat west so as to avoid New York and Washington. I'm planning to haul the R-Pod even though a lot of campgrounds in NY and PA have closed for the season, then take another three days to drift back home.

I have a few possible riding targets on the way down and back, including Ferncliff, Merli Sarnoski, Coopers Gap, and Raystown, not to mention Troegs...

Suggestions as to where to ride and/or hole up?

Just FYI it's archery season in PA through November 11. You can still ride in state parks/state forest, but hunters will be there also (except Sunday).

I'm safer riding in the woods with hunters than I am driving on the public roadways.

...Have you ridden the Rattling Creek loop near Lykens PA?
Nope, but I'll add it to my notes...
