Especially when you drill it that far off centre, you know you can't go to the next size up.
Ordered a few carbide straight flute drills yesterday for fun times like that.

I'm yet to try it but using an oxy cutter is supposedly the best way to remove a snapped easy out. Once I spent a whole day sitting on a tire removing broken Easy Outs and a carbide drill from a cylinder head with a Dremel and many abrasive bits.
Hitting somebody else's broken Easy Out is the worst feeling in the world.
