Can anyone recommend a router template for use in fabrication of trail signs?

Trace letter via a stencil. Use a dremel or chisels to gouge out relief. Paint cavity for contrast.
I've got nothing, sorry.
Thanks for sharing. No need to be sorry. Every time someone posts something useless on the monkey a kitten masturbates, FACT!
Shape trees into the sign.
You know you want to.
Rockler usually makes pretty nice stuff for this kind of thing- it's where I would start:
How many signs are you making?
I saw some really nice signs on Perry Hill in Waterbury - asked around and it turns out that someone cranks them out on a CNC mill. Don't think I'll go that route. Freehand here we come.
if you have multiple bits i'd start with something small to get the rough shape, then switch to something larger
And? How'd it work out for you?
Have done nothing. However, a friend today came to lunch with stuff he made on his 3D printer. Interesting and I think a potential win.
Sort of worked, but very limited in size, number of letters.
Now that I have returned from the willied west, I may go back to mucking around.
Serously. Get with the times! This isn't dialup interwebs anymore!
I have a cnc plasma and could cut signs if you are interested...I do monkey deals, ie cheap/free for the good of the cause. If they are small enough to fit in a flat rate USPS box it would be cheap to ship and you could handle mounting.
Pretty easy if you want text/logos/whatever.
This style is the easiest, with letters just cut out from the sign. You could easily screw it to painted wood to make the letters pop, or a million other things for various mounting or painting or anything else you could want to do.
Let these guys in Prescott make your signs:
I installed this sign post yesterday, but I didn't make it the park foreman did. I can ask what he uses for a template when I meet with him later this week.
There you go John!
I still wanna meet up w/ you some time soon to talk about the custom neck-knife I have in mind.
Im just lazy (or busy w/ three kids... Almost the same thing )
Here is a sample of some signs we had made recently.
Go to the right if you need to pull a stick out of your jacked wheel while manualing?
No sticks at these trails... The sign reads - bike shit this way
@johnbryanpeters, did you ever buy any of these? I need to make some signs and I'm curious how they worked for you.
No, I got sidetracked.
