Where exactly is this? I'm looking for an April mtb vacation location and currently thinking the Santa Cruz area could do.

You don't want Russian Ridge Heidi.... I'm not saying don't go to the bay area. Just that Russian Ridge isn't all that. It is kinda pretty, but also kinda boring. If you go to that area I would hit up El Corte Madera (Skeggs) and Purisma Creek (Whittmore Gulch). Still the same general area, same general views, but WAY better trails. Also, down south a bit more (SC area) is Demo Forest. Again, a GREAT little trail system.
