You'll skewer your eye out.
Was able get off 5-6 flights of arrows at lunch. It's nice working near the house.
Spent some time at the shop on Sunday getting my bow tuned up now that is is broken in. While at the range there I got some nice pointers from some competitive target shooters. The tune up and pointers seem to have helpd, Shot two flights of arrows from 20 yards at lunch today
Phase 2: Ask MIL to straighten the brick pile.
E: After watching the video and seeing how people could blindly enter the range from both the patio entry and driveway, this may happen anyway. Sketchy.
driveway has padlocked 8' high gate, door from house has rope with warning sign stretched across opening.
I figured as much.
Padlocked gate will be handy to corral MIL if you need a second shot.
I'm going to need some prescription glasses for my 59 year old eyes. I had a hard time seeing the target clearly at 40 yards, but I did Ok for my first time at this distance. We went to the Livermore Gun Clubs Archery range. The wind was gusting left to right and was really messing with being able to hold my sight on target
the view from the shooting line
not bad for only picking up a bow for the first time in my life less than a month ago
Not bad for gusting winds let alone just picking up archery
You plan on doing any hunting? Or just sport shooting?
I don't like that you're shooting in residential areas, that is awfully tricky.
There is a reason archery is allowed for hunting in residential areas.
I plan on doing some Hunting, The local parks encourage bow hunting for wild pigs as part of their management plan of the pests. Deer and Turkey are also on my list.
Awesome, I just ordered my new bow last night. And got my archery hunting class done too.
25 yards out during lunch today
Not bad at all... Right in the kill zone
What do you have it set at for pull weight?
Nice. Are you gonna keep it there or work your way up?
