Best Movie ever :thumb:

I saw it last night and laughed my ass off. Zombie horror, dry British wit and straight up slapstick.

Do yerself a favor and see this movie

Saw it last night too. It was great. One of the more entertaining films to come out in the last couple months.

I'm still laughing at the part near the beginning where Shaun and Ed are coming out of the bar singing "White Lines" with the zombie.

You MUST watch the Brit TV show "Spaced!"

two seasons were made of it, before SotD movie, and you can see so many references in the TV show as a prelude to the movie. Try to find the DVD, well worth the money. Failing that, P2P it.

Not to mention that Are You Being Served? is probably the funniest of all BritComs...
That's really really old! What about Keeping up appearances Mrs. Bucket?

But then again so if Red Dwarf. The first 3 seasons were the best in my opinion.

I don't think they have 'em here in the States but Alan Partridge stuff is hilarious.

I'd buy 'em all if my stoopit DVD player didn't have the region lock on it.

Cat and Holly make the show...

What's your favorite episode?

Mine is when he finds out the .35 or whatever left in his savings account grew with interest to make him the richest guy in the universe, but then finds out he left the lights on in his kitchen and bacteria from the tuna melt he left in the bin killed hundreds of people.

or something like that.... it's been a while.

It's hard to say because all of the early episodes are so damn funny...

if you are depending on the library to meet yr movie needs, i wouldn't worry about seeing _Shaun of the Dead_.
Hmmm.

That's why I asked about Blockbuster, numbnutz. :eviltongu

blockbluster might have a copy, but you'll have to endure sitting in the checkout line while a terry schiavo-eqsue "helpful" employee tries to figure out how to use the cash register.

plus, they may have a copy but it will never be in stock. i actually got a copy of a movie (can't recall the title now) whcih i had been really looking forward to seeing, and was surprised when it was on the shelf. when i went to check it out, the slack-jawed response i got was that i couldn't because it hadn't been entered into their inventory. the useless pile of protoplasm seemed surprised when i suggested he go into the back room and ask someone who knew something to check it in so i could rent it. of course that was impossible.

i detest BB. netflix is awesome, and has a very deep selection. good range of stuff you'd never see in a store, like documentaries, foreign flicks, etc.

everything but porno.

I detest them as well. But I'll sure as hell take 'em for a couple free movies. :D

Netflix would be a waste of money, since it seems I can only manage to watch about 4 movies a month.........

Well, I saw it on Friday. I'm kinda of bummed. As far as zombie movies go it was mildly amusing. As far as Brit humor flicks, I have to say I didn't find myself laughing much. And I like Brit humor flicks.

Saw Snatch on Saturday. Much more humourous, IMO. :thumb:

snatch is the superior movie, no doubt. but even that is a bit of a retread of _Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrells_, so mr madonna may have run out of ideas.

that was his first flick. tony (i think that's his name - "my gun says American Eagle, while your gun says "replica". now F off!") is in that one too. sting's got a decent cameo as well. definitely rent it.

you seen "Shallow Grave" yet? that's another great brit flick.
