Nice spring day in the Southern Tier of NY, 60 and stupid sunny to start our after-work ride. The usual suspects out in Shindagin Hollow State Forest for the first time this year. Worked some leg muscles, applied a few new bruises, and generally had a merry time in the woods. Got a solid two hours of time on the bikes, played around on some skinnys, and didn’t pack it in until it was too dark to see the trail. Damn good to be riding in the dirt again.

Barry cranking the rigid SS.

Dry trail is good. Not much standing water on the trails, but we found a few thick mudholes along the way.

Skinny, skinny, skinny, skinny.

Logpile, logpile

JRA, man, JRA

Skinny, skinny, getting’ dark.

Good to have the forests back after a long winter!

A small group of us went out and did trailwork in Shindagin yesterday. Snowy and cold here again, good day to be doing trail work.

We managed to come up with a few things along the way that were pretty entertaining.

Downed tree, turned into fun log pile and extended skinny.

Old Nessy has been a great skinny for so long. We gave her a little facelift, added a few more feet to her and a solid dismount zone.

Cold drinks and junk food to celebrate us. Marked about 7 miles of trail, and fixed a few downed trees.

One last side trip to end the day. Barry and David wanted to ride, the rest of us wanted to see a finished feature we?ve been working on.
. Barry rides it like a champ though. Notice the spectator seating. We all look like total hillbillies.
