Hey i really like this bike. but im not sure if it will last a good beating. im on a budget but i want a bike that can stand going down rocky terain. can you please tell me some good bikes under 500. heres the specs for the specialized

No going downhill will cause your balls to explode....go up.........

Aside of that I say classifieds....most DJ style hardtails will handle a all mountain urban setup... be a little cramped but will work. Steel is stronger than aluminum, aluminum is lighter .

Having owned a P.1 and P.2 I would say if it is your goal to use it for trail riding, especially rocky terrain I would steer clear. They are definitely geared more towards urban riding and have more of a big BMX bike feel versus a mountain bike feel. The short wheelbase can make the steeper and rockier terrain a little more difficult and less enjoyable.
