So today I decided to go for a quick pedal on my dh rig down to alki to get some grub and see what's goin on down there on such a nice day. While I was down there, I decided to take a walk up towards Smitz Park and maybe get a little bit of dirt action. Now I've heard there has been some secret freeride trails somewhere but I havn't found them. I walked a few different trail routes and saw A TON of trail building potential from northwest single track to loose bermy trails that would be fun on a bigger bike and possible some jumps. I have no idea what it would take to get something worked out with the Park Department but it would be worth giving it a shot. Just an idea I had but if you live in West Seattle, it's worth just going for a hike around Smitz to check out the trail building glory.
