"It was a funny angle!"
I always do:
crushed ice
melons/papaya (depends which one is on sale at supermarket)
one orange
one banana
2 spoons or plain yogurt

What are some of your favorite smoothie ingredients?

here's how i do it:

base recipe:
ice cubes (agreed, crushed is better so you don't get ice chunks).
orange juice
two big globs of fat-free vanilla yogurt

then i throw in the fruit. favorites are banana/mango (banana has to ripe), or strawberry/blueberry. i've tried cantaloupe and it didn't turn out so good. ripe peaches are nice too, but seasonal.

heres mine... mm healthy.

1 banana
4 ice cubes
some frozen blue berrys
strawberries
1 part milk and 1 part heavy whipping cream
2 table spoons of sugar

THIS IS THE BEST
the heavy cream makes it soooo good, and fattening, great before a day of DH when u dont have lunch, although, dont put it in ur camelback. :sneaky:

NO ice cubes needed.

8oz FF plain yogurt
8oz frozen strawberries
Splenda to taste

You need a good blender for that one, as it's THICK.

I'll sometimes add a scoop of vanilla protein powder if it's post workout, or a few oz rum if it's the weekend. I buy bags of frozen strawerries, peaches, and blueberries from costco. Cheaper than fresh fruit and better for smoothies than using ice.

My ultimate post-workout shake:
8oz ff milk
1 frozen banana
1tsp almond extract
1/4c rolled oats
1 scoop vanila whey protein powder

That's tasty.

some non-fat, vanill yogurt
some fruit (oranges, blueberries, raspberries, bananas)
some soy milk
some ice

bananas will be tastiest after freezing them, then thawing them out.

I can't do yogurt, so I use a little bit of avacado instead. It sounds strange at first, but it is incredibly good.

I have an uber-blender with like a V-8 engine in it (OK not really, but it is super powerful) so here's what I do:

An orange (minus the peel, but with everything else)
A few ice cubes
1/4 Avacodo (makes everything really smoth)
Whatever fruit strikes my fancy (strawberries, raspberries, mango, whatever)
Rice milk to get consistency right

My morning power shake:

4 frozen strawberries
2 ice cubes
1 cup water
2 scoops protein powder (55g)
1 scoop creatine (5g)
1 tbsp flax seed oil

Blend until smooth.

It tastes like ASS, but you do what you gotta do. :)

1 ounce burger? Little on the small side.

well a smoothie isnt really a meal, and 2/3 pound really wreaks havoc on my blender.
I have always had problems blending bacon, I guess it should be cooked extra crispy.

well you have to use the puree feature to liquify it a little more than normal.

we gotta blender that can handle that. Sort of like this one but homemade

gas powered by a weedwhacker motor and mounted on a router table. ;)

you could make a turtle milkshake in it if you wanted to.
