It's time for a new desktop for work purposes and I'm way too busy to keep up with the last code name of the 16 core, nuclear reactor powered, 1.21 gigawatt power supply wiz bang desktop processor let alone everything that comes with it.

I've built many machines but time is short so complete might be the way to go.

Daily use includes the normal web/office/email apps as well as Solid Works modeling and FEA in Cosmos. Rims aren't the most complex things in the world, not like I'm analyzing the next space shuttle here. I can let it churn through calculations and go for a ride if need be.

What do the resident tech gurus suggest?
