Company and Product Info

SEATTLE—Sportworks NW Inc. the tube bending company who paved the way for bike rack innovation with their easy-to-use Bike-Rack-for-Buses is introducing a new upright, roof-top rack. The new rack dubbed the “Bob Ratchet” after the engineer who developed the product, easily mounts to Thule® or Yakima® load bars and is unlike anything currently available. No wheel removal is required as the rack mounts to the tire of the bicycle and not the frame like most other racks. The rack features a unique, ratcheting arm, which comes up and over the wheel to secure the bike in place. This Ratcheting Quick-load system or RQL as it is known, is quite a revolutionary way to get your bikes from here to there.
This new rack is introduced at a time when bikes are getting more and more difficult to carry. Other bike rack companies are struggling to keep up with the wide range of frame designs offered by the major bicycle manufacturers. The “Bob Ratchet” will accommodate any style or size bicycle because it is not dependent on the frame of the bike. It will even accommodate the ever popular lefty forks.

The “Bob Ratchet” is a nice compliment to Sportworks’ successful hitch mounted racks. The line includes models to carry everything from BMX bikes to recumbents and doesn’t require taking the wheels off or dangling the bikes by their frames.

Sportworks, a Seattle area based company, is a World Class Manufacturer and tube bending specialist that supplies products to top U.S. bicycle and sporting good manufacturers like Trek, Cannondale, Smith Sport Optics, K2 Ski Poles and Atlas Snowshoes.

Sportworks racks are designed to give the consumer an easy to use, quick-loading bicycle rack. “People are tired of hassling with their bike racks” says Julie Gregg, Sportworks Product Manager. “Our customers want a rack that is simple to use and securely transports their bikes. They are no longer interested in “hang and dangle” racks, our racks are the solution they have been looking for.”

For more information on the racks that solve all of your bicycle transportation needs, please contact Julie Gregg at Sportworks.

Ben/ Jerry's "Coffee Coffee Buzz Buzz Buzz", it's coffee ice cream with espresso bean fudge chunks. Add a scoop to your espresso and go jump in an icy lake.

Edy's Swiss Orange... not really ice cream, it's sherbet with chocolate pieces in it, but it's frozen goodness just the same. It's like sex in a bowl. You should try it... the ice cream that is, not having sex in a bowl ...Unless that's your things ...And it's a really big bowl.

The best ice cream is not really ice cream, it's Italian Gelatta (kinda like a sorbet). We have a small place here in Québec called Tutto Gelatto and it rules!

The best flavor they have is probably the Tiramisu...but there are a lot that are really good.

I'm a big fan of the ben and jerry "throw everythin' ya' got in dar" type flavors, but I always come back to the basics. You can't beat Haagen Daaz Vanilla.

mmmmm mmmmmm MMMM.
