I am planning on building a steel frame road bike not for racing but just for overall riding, touring, etc. I am looking at the Surly Pacer anyone have any other suggestions for an inexpensive road frame to build up with parts. I have a dura ace group given to my dad free (barely ridden) that i am going to use what are some inexpensive wheels also? I was thinking something like Mavic Cosmos.

Hand build wheels will be the the best value for the money. Look at Fuji for a frame.
