I am going to be building up a bike soon to be used for urban / dirt jumping / cross country riding.

I like a smaller frame and am curious about fork travel.

What amount of fork travel would be good for dirt jumping?
I’m not going to be doing anything to flat.

Is there such a thing as too much travel for something’s?

If you need more info from me to properly answer these questions please ask.

thanks

good luck w/ a freecoaster.

i don't wanna roll in circles anymore.

i don't have pegs on that bike either.

I actually rode it to the store last night and that thing is a TANK.
i swear it didn't use to be that heavy.

nope. i have fallen....
i no longer have the drive to be able to deal w/ the frustration that comes w/ flatland.

i'm content to just pedal around on my big dumb bike with gears and not progress at all.

i know....I should just kill myself now.

I have felt the same way for like two years. Recently I have had a distast for the mountain bike and once agin love the Morales. I think it has to do with feeling very disconnected with my life right now and being 30 pounds bigger. [/SIZE]
When I rode flat everything seemed easier to deal with.

If you're set on a mtn bike I'd reccomend 3" but if you're already comfortable on a 20" why not jump on that?

well i'm burnt out on bmx bikes.
(I stopped riding completely for over 3 years)

one real big reason is my body no longer likes it.
i can't hold on to my bars very well anymore.

so the mountain bike is a way for me to ride without killing myself.

soft tires and soft forks make for a smoother ride.
but i still like jumping....
I love manualing down the street and jumping curbs
i also have been enjoying cross-cuntry stuff too.

just riding around ya know.

I'm not pushing my skills any, other than getting back into shape.

thanks
