I'm looking a getting back into riding after loosing my bike a longtime ago to a fire. Ive been out of the riding scene for quiet a few years now and not sure how much mtb technology has passed me by in that time. At the time of riding like i did I would have put myself in mid to expert level, I used to work for a few shops building XC and DH bikes so im not a rookie .
But not sure what to go after in terms of a quality platform to build up and looking for suggestions. I used to always ride hard tail but thinking of switching to full susp with rear lock out ability. to give example of what i used to ride i my bike that got torched was a marin nailtrail with xtr front paul rear manitu pro forks king headseat etc etc
I'm looking new or used but not sure whats out there for quality parts and a good base to build up from
