SUP. At work due to the maintenance dudes needing to cut power to the building. Had a great sleep last night, so getting up early this morning was a non-issue. Now I wait for them to finish work, which they say will be around 1pm. I need to get some power supplies that I can cut power from remotely. :monkey:

In other news, after this crap is all done I plan on riding a bike later.

There was also some gnarly as heck fog out there this morning.

It is raining and 50 so I am not going on a 30 mile group road ride because FTS.
Sounds like a great time for a knobby tire bicycle ride. :busted:

Up at 5:30 fed the dogs, me and the wife. She is out walking her horse. I'm walking the dogs. Her las competition ride is at 8:30. She stands a good chance of winning the championship with her points lead going into today if she rides anything like she did yesterday. Then we start packing. With luck we will be home by midnight

Meh and not in Nebraska any more. Wet, cold and having to wait 10 hrs until the next beer because busy with crap.

I'm here a few more days.

I saw a 400 pound guy coming out of a casino in blue overalls, with a grey T shirt, red hat, and a white beard. He might've been going to a Halloween party as Uncle Jesse. An hour later, I saw a second dude looked just like him but without the hat n beard.

I'm going back to post-breakfast-nap for a bit. Then I've got to go suspend a 90 pound lady from my balls... Again.

Cleaning up after a house full of guest. Way to little riding lately. Going to Denmark at the end of the month fo what looks like the final job interview. Could end up moving very soon if that goes through. Planning on getting a house much closer to the trails so I don't have to drive 1.5 each way to hit the trails like I have now in NYC.

drizzly and cold + some sort of bronchial affliction = no ride. but that's ok. I took my oldest boy to the clip and climb and it was a great success. he loved it. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to climb with him or not, so I paid for me too, and also had fun. those places are a good time.

I bought all sorts of beer and liquor. Marinated chicken thighs, shucked the corn, Strip steaks. Nobody showed up. Pussies all of them.

So I got to Hesston - barely. I diverted in Huntington in search of lunch, didn't find any, and was redirecting to the the original route when I hit a bump, after which a not nice noise ensued, so I pulled over and discovered that the coupler had disconnected and I was progressing courtesy of safety chains and the tongue jack.

Amazingly, nothing was severely damaged, so I hooked everything back up and proceeded, shaken, to the campsite, getting lost only once.

A ride in light rain and two beers later, having unbent a couple of pieces related to the hitch, I'm feeling a little better, but I'm uncertain as to what caused the failure. I'm glad it didn't happen at speed on an interstate or rural mountain pass in the fog.

Took the wife mountain biking. Doudy Draw and Springbrook in Boulder with a rented plus hard tail. She doesn't want to kill me so I count it as a win.

Now grilling ribeyes and veggies for dinner, kids playing well together in the back yard. Life isn't too bad at all.

This afternoons ride could not have been more wet.

We had to abort some of the steep rooty trails, but overall what a fuckin blast. Slide ways everywhere. Dirt everywhere. Water everywhere.

We even had some good thunder and hail/snow.

I'm questioning if my shoes will be dry for tomorrow. :monkey:

Out having a great ride with my wife and almost get run down, seriously close to massive accident as I was heading downhill at speed, by a big fat 400+lb woman with her kid. They stop and we stand there shouting for 5 minutes while her kid watches on. Belligerent cow didn't pay me any attention and then they left.

Damn moose.

FYI for anyone local, 9155 trail aka Ho Chi Minh trail off Gold Hill Colorado Trail by Breckenridge is a really fun descent. 7/10 would hit again. (if you've got bars wider than 740 watch out on the first half for some of those tree gaps :D)

Shouldn't that question default to mountains?

Cow and calf were coming down the hill adjacent to the trail at speed, I slammed on my brakes to avoid them as they crossed the trail. Then as I retreated they decided to dine on the bushes at the side of the trail for 10 minutes before moving on so we could pass.

Its because you never want to ride with me :-)
Trying to keep up with @Fool broke my shoulder once upon a time.

The kid standing blocking the trail, momma was a big girl but hidden to the right in this shot.
