Another cold day here, -6°F. My oldest asked to go skiing. Sounds good to me! Hopefully it warms up a bit and by the time he's done with skiing there will be enough time and daylight for a ride on the fattie.

'Morning. I bailed on my run this morning on account of a sharp pain on the side of my shin and I was unable to run through it. Ruh roh. WTF...I am never injured, torn ACL's aside.

Buddy said he'd ride today, but now it's in that limbo time period where it's a 50/50 chance of him bailing. Deciding whether to say f-it and head out or wait longer.

Stouts are on order. Hopefully the one store still has those breakfast stouts.

In hell. Welcome!
Chores around the house, cooked goulash in a pressure cooker, washed it down with a Czech lager, now I see some relaxing time ahead, and also oil change in fork damper and replacement of a few seals in the air spring. A solo ride around 3PM unless the beer overpowers me.

where the trails are
Visited with the now slightly larger Stone family for a little bit today. Mrs. Stoney and the new addition are doing great.

You'd think its spring by this weather.

New Sony noise canceling cans >> old AT Technica noise canceling cans. I could legitimately forget that I was hurtling through the air in a giant tin can and get lost in my movie instead. Thai chicken salad was quite nice, too. I could get used to this.

Spring? We've had another cold day with below average temps for this time of the year. Bike was ridden, almost 9 miles on part ice part rocks and dirt trails. A lot of sinking frozen ground on singletrack though, that sucked.
Worked on the fork some more. Took apart the damper and found lots of oil in a (not so) dry compartment where the bladder sits so the bladder is likely shot. That obviously sucks, thanks Obama.

My own world inside my head
Good workout this morning. Five miles done on the new skis. They glide and float a lot better than I expected. One really good face plant when I went to slow as they grabbed snow friggin hard and I stopped way faster than I wanted to.

Floating down the whiskey river...
Rode my first double black diamond yesterday, la Milagrosa. Big eye opener for how ishty i still am at biking. Lot of hike-a-bike. Managed to fall down into a small ravine. Luckily no rattlers. Managed to twist my ankle really good, and can barely move my right arm. Was armored up, could have been worse!

New toy today! Found it on sale for $200 and snatched it up. Vivid R2C, now i need a spring. Dont know what to get, its 200x57. Im about 165 with everything, what do yall recommend?
