It’s been a while since I last did an update and in that time we have been as busy as bees taking advantage of the awesome weather. I’m glad we finally got some much needed rain this week to keep down the dust and bring back the tacky goodness. The rain has wrapped up and the weather is looking great for this weekend.

So here’s what’s new… Easy Tiger has had the whole upper half rebuilt with bigger swoopier berms and some nice flowy rollers. During this process we could help but touch up the Grease Monkey drop at the E.T intersection (look before you leap). We have also cut a better way to get up to Tango & Crash without descending at ascend, we call it traversing. Speaking of cutting, we have cut and are currently building an extension to Borealis to make it about 50% longer and a new trail that begins under the lift at the top. We hope to have both of these open by mid-September.

This new trail we are working on starts right off the top of the lift on the open ski slope over some cool rock features into some high speed turns. Then it’s into the woods where the trees get tight and the terrain gets steep. In this section we took advantage of what Mother Nature had to offer which were some sick rock roll downs. Then it’s back onto the open slope then back into the woods where is will tie into the bottom of Easy Tiger and link well with Rt.229.

We have added 2 more days to the SRBP calendar for this fall. Monday, September 6th (Labor Day) and Monday, October 11th (Columbus Day) the bike park will be open it’s regularly scheduled hours. October 11th with be the last day of the lift spinning for bikes for the 2010 season so if you haven’t made it up here yet you are running out of time to remedy that. Can you believe ski season is just around the corner?
