The Sunday River Park Crew is coming off a couple of very busy weeks between building new terrain features and “testing the product” so to see what needs attention. The highlights from the past week have been the reopening of Rt. 229, the opening of our new skills park, and the Keep it Going extension work has finally begun.

Rt. 229, although it has its roots that date this trails back to the late 90’s, is a example of what the sport is becoming with fast flowy lines and jumps tucked into the more open areas. The skills park contains some of the boxes from the winter terrain park and at this time has five lines with more options to come. It is located just off Rt. 229 and marked with trails signs. Keep it Going got a new table top last weekend and we are currently working to extend this line further downhill. The chute off Second Thoughts near lot 10 also reopened with a new step-down to berm option.

Some of our upcoming projects include maintenance on Crater Trail and Flat ‘n ‘em, construction of more jumps on KIG, the pumptrack, and working on the newest trail off the top. The only downside for us is that with these projects and more planned its hard to find the time to ride! We manage.
