Our old cats are acting old. The skinny one is peeing around the house (wife is getting this cat checked out), and the fuzzy one doesn't have as much mobility now so I've taken to leaving chairs and stools around the windows so she can hop up and look outside. Both cats are getting crotchety. They are almost 16.

Awake. Last night I moved almost everything that we couldn't put on shelves or fit into the upstairs bathrooms downstairs because of the new carpet going in today. Tired.

Big call today in 40 minutes. I just found out that there is a live RFP attached to this call as well. Let's just add a bit more stress to this one. It's a Southern client, so I need to slow my speak WAY down, which if you know me is... a lot. This is gonna be awesome.

Kinda want to just study today.

More snow on the docket for today. which is great since I'm heading here tomorrow. It's a small family-run hill that runs the Poma only when there's enough snow. I think it only opened a couple of weeks ago this year. it's more of a hobby than a business as I see it. Afterwards I'm heading to a buddy's cottage for the night. there's aren't enough beds there, so I'm bringing my tent and sleeping bag. It's supposed to drop down to 16°F tomorrow night here, so likely a few degrees cooler up in them north woods... :D

last night's ride was excellent. The trails were in surprisingly good shape, and for the most part, you could also wander off trail anywhere you wanted. I even wound up taking a sketchy line down a really steep slope. the snow was like hard sponge-taffee. I was able to maintain traction while braking down the steep face, it was really cool. Unfortunately no one was there to see it as the other guys had stayed on the trail and rocketed ahead.:( We also found a late-season connector that isn't passable till late in the winter when the bogs are snow covered and frozen solid. We wound up doing a loop I haven't done in the winter yet. It's almost blasphemy to say, but I think it's better in the winter than the summer. Because you can ride anywhere in the forest you can ride around most obstructions, and best of all, there's no bugs! Adventure, exploring, discovery... everything a ride should be! Capped it off with beers in the parking lot, then more beers and burgers at the pub. Didn't get home till late, and slept like shit (despite hitting the 'shed), so today I'm dragging ass. Good thing it's Friday.

Well that went poorly. At least the VP called me afterwards letting me know that I was pretty much setup to fail, then told me he's planning on making me a manager once he gets approval for another team. I'll take that.

FTS Friday in full swing. My project is pushed out a month, so there is that. Looking busy has gotten old. On a lighter note, the gal in the cube next to me has some hilarious phone conversations. She is doing phone screening while also working on fraud cases. Maybe I should move to the fraud team, they seem busy.

Yup, the commute sucks ass, but at least the people suck, too. Playing with AS400's has never been so exciting. I also got paid today, so that is a nice change.

I need a motorcycle for the dry days.

Shit. I forgot to move the M last night and it's in the way of the carpet guys.Relying on the neighbor to move it. Not going to lie, I'm borderline terrified right now.
edit: only slight bottom out on the bottom of the driveway.
