June 28. 12 Hours of Humboldt, 8am to 8pm.
ARCATA COMMUNITY FOREST, ARCATA, HUMBOLDT COUNTY, CA.
Think you'll ever get to shoot hoops with Michael Jordan, or play 18 holes with Tiger Woods? Not likely. BUT, you could be on a 2-rider team at the 12 Hours of Humboldt with the legendary Tinker Juarez. All you gotta do is enter the "Team Up With Tinker" raffle. It's $2 per ticket and the money goes to the Arcata Forest Fund to help purchace another 171 acres of forest land.

Along with getting an entry and the once-in-a-lifetime chance to team up with the 5-time NORBA Champion, the winner gets 2 nights at the Mad River Quality Inn & a complete set of riding gear from Cannondale. To enter the raffle visit www.teambigfoot.net for mail-in entry instructions.

RACE INFO
The main venue is in Arcata's Redwood Park. The 7.75-mile course is under the giant redwood of the adjacent Arcata Communty Forest. The course is a variation of last year's layout, but with 5 (count 'em!) new sections of singletrack. It still has just over 1000' of climbing per lap. This is such a great place to hold a race --- it's right in town, just two minutes from Highway 101, so your family or significant other can go visit the Arcata downtown, visit the Plaza Farmers Market, etc. When your team is ready for lunch, why not order pizza or Chinese and have it delivered? Really! The venue has paved parking, real bathrooms, playground, BBQ, picnic tables. The racer pits are on the main lawn --- a real fun, party kind of atmosphere.
We have categories for teams of 4-riders, 2-riders, solo. Plus sub-categories for beginner, sport, expert, women, mixed (at least 1 woman), singlespeed, tandem, unicycle, veteran (age 35+), master (age 45+) and Junior (age 17-). Entry is $45 per rider, ($35 for Jrs.)

This event is a benefit for the Arcata Forest Fund to help purchase and additional 171 acres to add to the Community Forest. Another $1.25 per rider has been pledged to the Rotary International Polio Eradication Fund.
