So what about if a gay transgendered teacher posts "artsy" pictures of himself, naked?
Himself or herself?

So long as they are arty rather than pornographic I see no problem. Michelangelo's David has a (rather small) penis.

Arty vs. Pornographic...is that not in the eye of the beholder?

There is a fine line/grey area but so long as you don't flirt with that you'll be OK.
Some would say titties is pornographic is what im gettng at. A blanket rule against nudity is the best solution, no?

Nude means completely disrobed. What if she's just flashing her boobies?

OHhh, you mean just chest and pubic area should not be shown. Well, there are plenty of orthodox folks (Christian, Jewish, and Muslim) that think knees also fall into that category. Who are you to decide? I think we should just put all women in burkas and be done with it.

That would teach those uppity women. The nerve, thinking they have rights and stuff.

We had a teacher in our school (like a million years ago) that had posed for Playboy before she ever became a teacher...no one ever made a big deal about it though it was well known that she posed. i had an 8th grade math teacher that was semi- openly gay. He was mildly effeminate, well dressed, but wasn't "flaming" gay as in prancing around or wearing pro-gay buttons or anything. The whole school knew he was gay, but wasn't an issue because he was a great teacher. Of course there were the few that made comments and remarks, most of us didn't care what he did outside of the school.

I guess if it's wrong to be topless from a morality standpoint, I guess it's wrong for a teacher to drink a beer or smoke a cigarette. Neither being illegal, but neither setting a good example for students either. What about a teacher having a child out of wedlock? or getting a divorce? or getting a speeding ticket? (that's the first illegal thing I've listed) Should they lose their job? It's not a teachers job to teach morals or values other than what goes on directly in the classroom. Once they leave those hallowed halls, they're just people like everyone else. Students should have a good idea about morals and values long before they enter a classroom...those should be taught by mom and dad.
