Bill Hicks operated under some weird comedic uncertainty principle - he was terrible each and every time he was observed by a camera. Some of the audio bootlegs I have of him touring US backwaters are pretty damn good and far superior to any of his performances at bigger venues.

Jones became more heavily involved with Sacred Cow after Hicks passed, but the two had definitely met and watched each other "perform".
