The Big Weekend at Big Bear is Coming Up!

Preparations are going well for this weekend's 2 x 12 race and Mountain Festival. Bring friends and family, for mountain music, racing fun and awesome trails at Big Bear!

On-site Registration will be open on Friday, at the race venue, from 1 pm to 9 pm. Race Packet Pick-up will be going on at the same time and there will be Saturday race-packet pick-up from 8 am to 9 am but there's no race registration on race-day.

Remember, you just need one other guy (or gal) to make this race. You can also pre-register on bikereg.com.

Big Guns at Big Bear
The word is some big-gun teams are coming to Big Bear. Looks like the competition is heating up. Ernesto Marenchin is teaming up with Brandon Draugelis. Nick Waite is teaming up with Jason Cyr. Gunner and Betsy Shogren are racing in the Co-ed Division and Cassie Smith is teaming up with Cheryl Sornsen in the Women's Division. Here's a list of all the registered racers, so far: Confirmed Rider List

Granny's Pancake Breakfast - RSVP
Granny is hosting a pancake breakfast and post-race ride on Sunday morning. The breakfast goes from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. and the ride starts at 9:30. Please RSVP so we can know how many folks we'll be flipping flap-jacks and brewing coffee for. E-mail us your RSVP and indicate how many folks you are accounting for.

Kudos to Dirt Rag
A big thank you to Dirt Rag getting the word out on the Big Bear Mountain Fest on their website and in their e-newsletters. We really appreciate the folks at DR putting their shoulder behind this year's event and helping keep the momentum as we look ahead to the return of the 24 Hours of Big Bear in 2011!

We're Psyched for a Great Weekend!
Looking forward to seeing everyone and hanging out, enjoying the music, the racing scene, the kids race and other activities.

Thanks again to Mark Schooley for all the work that he and his staff and volunteers are pouring into this year's activities. Don't miss the big fun. It's gonna be a blast!

Happy Trails,
-Laird & all the fine folks at Granny Gear Productions
