Gmail is a new, free, web based email service being offered by Google. It is still in the beta testing stages, hence the need to be invited to get an account there. Perks include 1000mb of storage, and the cleanest, fastest, most intuitive interface of any web based email service I've seen to date. Not to mention there's still a fairly significant amount of usernames up for grabs, unlike Hotmail or Yahoo which are saturated and require adding odd characters or bunches of numbers onto the end of your username. http://www.gmail.com
